Tate County Mississippi Accepts Delivery of Third and Fourth Toyne Tanker

BREDA, Iowa - The Tate County Board of Supervisors based out of Senatobia, Mississippi, recently tasked Toyne with engineering their third and fourth tankers in two years. The new additions will aid Tate Co., MS, emergency personnel as they continue to expand their fleet of fire apparatus.

Tate County’s most recent order consisted of two aluminum body wetside tankers that have been mounted on a Kenworth T370 two-door cab and chassis. The new apparatus are driven by a Paccar PX-9 380 hp engine and Allison 3000 EVS transmission. Both apparatus are equipped with a Hale MBP 1000 gpm pump and a UPF 3000 gallon tank. The tankers also feature a slide-in 3000 gallon portable tank rack as well as Fire Research telescoping lights.

Senatobia, which is the county seat of Tate County, Mississippi, is the 16th largest municipality in the Memphis Metropolitan Area. At the time of the 2010 census, the population of Senatobia was 8,165. The Senatobia Fire Department was founded in 1951 and is made up of career/paid-on-call firefighters that protect the City and Tate County.
