04.28.16

BREDA, Iowa - Located in Bristol, TN, the East Sullivan Volunteer Fire Department has been proudly serving the eastern portion of Sullivan County since 1967. East Sullivan approached Toyne to build an apparatus that would fulfill their pumper tanker needs, as well as rounding out their current fleet.

Tanker 604, which is a side mount pumper tanker, has been built on a Mack Granite 6x4 cab and chassis. The apparatus is powered by a Mack MP8-425M engine and Allison 3000 EVS transmission. In addition, East Sullivan’s new Toyne Tailored Apparatus is outfitted to fight fires with a Waterous CS 1250 gpm pump, UPF 3000 tank, and Zico hydraulic 3000 gallon portable tank rack. When on the call, Fire Research telescoping lights are deployed to help illuminate the scene for firefighters.

The East Sullivan Fire Department is currently made up of 35 volunteer personnel, who respond to approximately 200 calls a year, ranging from fires and hazardous materials, to motor vehicle accidents and public education. Toyne Tanker 604 joins a fleet of six existing apparatus including three pumpers, one tanker, one brush truck and one support vehicle.
